Full day Trip from Fez to Meknes and Volubilis

This full-day excursion starts in Fez towards Volubilis, the ancient Roman ruins, where you will spend time exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a feel for what life was like during the Roman Empire.

Medina of Meknes: the ramparts with monumental gates dating back to the 17th century: Bab Berdaïne, Bab Mansour, Bab Lkhemis. Continue exploring the city through the stables (Rua), the attics (HERI) and Stud.
The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the only mosque that non-Muslims were allowed to visit in Morocco for a long time. Exit through the famous Bab Mansour on the large Hedim Square. Across the square, the Moroccan Art Museum "Dar Jamai" offers a wide variety of handicrafts.
El Hedim Square ("the square of demolition") is a famous square in Meknes, Morocco. The square was built between 1672 and 1674 after the Sultan of Morocco, Moulay Ismail, demolished half of the old city of Meknes to build his palace and square.
