Day 1 : Arrival in Marrakech
Transfer from the airport to your Riad. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 : Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech at around 8:00 am. Heading to the Tichka Pass 2,260 m, the highest road pass in Morocco, grandiose panoramic scenery, oak forests, pine trees, several beautiful Berber villages clinging to the cliffs. Then, we will cross the Tichka Pass. We will pass through Telouat to visit the ancient Kasbah Du Glaoui and the Ounila valley, then the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch on site and then continue to Ouarzazate. Visit to the film studios. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 3 : Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Todra Gorges
After breakfast, departure for Skoura, located on the route of the thousand kasbahs. Visit of the magnificent kasbah of Amridil. Then departure for the Valley of the Roses, passing through Berber villages. Lunch in the Dades Gorges, a short walk through the valley of the figs and return to the Valley of the Roses, where we will spend the night in a guest house.
Day 4 : Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
Departure for Tineghir and visit of the Todra Gorges and its green gardens, not forgetting the encounter with the nomads and their herds of goats.
We then leave for Merzouga taking the road to Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marbles. We pass through Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, and head along the track towards the Merzouga desert. We arrive at the foot of the dunes for the bivouac located in the middle of Erg Chebbi. Sunset, mint tea, dinner, entertainment and night under the tent or under the stars.
Day 5 : Merzouga
Free day to enjoy the desert.
Day 6 : Merzouga – Tazzarine – Agdz.
Departure from the dunes of Merzouga towards Tazzarine, crossing beautiful desert and mountain landscapes, oasis, kasbahs to the Draa valley via N'Kob and Tansikht. Descent towards the green wadi of Draa in Agdz, crossing Berber villages. Dinner and night in Agdz.
Day 7 : Agdz - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Tifoultout - Marrakech.
After a good breakfast, return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and passing by the site of the Kasbah of Tifoultout (5 km from Ouarzazate), former residence of the Pasha Glaoui whose heir Medhi Glaoui, a writer, currently lives in Paris.
It is the most recent Kasbah in the area and is sometimes rented by different hotels to organize large typically Berber evenings. Unfortunately, it is not always open to visitors, we will visit it if possible. The setting is magnificent anyway...
We take the main road towards Marrakech. Arrival at the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 8 : Marrakech
Departure for the airport.
