Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat
Upon arrival at Casablanca Med V Airport, you will be greeted by your private English-speaking driver. He will give you a brief overview of your New Year tour. Your first stop will be Casablanca, Morocco's bustling commercial capital and largest city.
Immerse yourself in the city's stunning architecture, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, and enjoy the beautiful gardens and terrace cafes overlooking the Atlantic coast. After exploring Casablanca, you will head to the capital, Rabat, where you will spend the night in a hotel or riad, including dinner.
Day 2 : Rabat - Chefchaouen
We will embark on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen as part of our grand tour of Morocco. Along the way, we will make several short stops to admire the beautiful surroundings. When we reach our destination, the blue city of Chefchaouen, we will immerse ourselves in its unique charm.
You will have the chance to explore the fascinating blue-painted alleys and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this charming place. For our overnight stay, we will stay in an authentic riad located in the heart of the Medina, ensuring an authentic experience.
Day 3 : Chefchaouen - Meknes - Fez
Chefchaouen to Meknes, where we will embark on a guided tour of this historic city. Before arriving in Meknes, we will stop at the remarkable Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the best-preserved Roman ruins in the region. Immerse yourself in the ancient world as our certified local guide shares insights into Roman life and architecture.
Upon arrival in Meknes, we will begin our guided tour at the impressive Bab Mansour, an ornamental gate that serves as the entrance to the imperial city. Explore the city's highlights, including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the entrance to the Royal Palace, and the grand Heri Es Souani, once a stable and barn for thousands of horses.
After Meknes, we'll continue our journey to Fez.
Day 4: Guided tour of Fez
Stop at: Al Qarawiyyin Mosque - See the mosques, including the Qarawiyyin Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri, and the Andalusian mosque dating back to 860.
Stop at: Medina of Fez - Explore the narrow streets filled with fresh fruit, piles of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other classic Moroccan art objects.
Stop at: Dar Batha Museum - A way to explore the history of Morocco through the explanation of this museum.
Stop at: Fontaine Nejjarine: Fontaine Najjarine and the museum will be another stop to learn more about the Medina explained by the guide.
Stop at: Bab Bou Jeloud or the blue gate, an important place where we will also make a stop.
Day 5 : Fez - Azrou (Cedar Forest) - Medilt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
Our route will take us through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, where we will be able to witness the captivating sight of wild monkeys in their natural habitat.
Continuing our adventure, we will pass through the picturesque Ziz Valley and Erfoud, famous for its marble fossils. Our final destination is Merzouga, a gateway to the desert. Along the way, we will make a stop at Rissani, a vibrant trading center where various tribes gather to trade.
Anticipate an unforgettable experience when we arrive in the desert, ready to embark on an extraordinary desert exploration.
Day 6 : Erg Chebbi Dunes
Our day will be dedicated to traveling and immersing ourselves in Merzouga's captivating Erg Chebbi Dunes, where nomadic communities continue to thrive. We'll begin by visiting Merzouga's seasonal lake, followed by a visit to Khamlia, a village known for its traditional Gnawa music.
Next on our itinerary, we'll explore abandoned mines and witness the serene beauty of an oasis adorned with lush palm trees. Afterward, we'll enjoy a local lunch before returning to our guesthouse. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a memorable camel ride through the mesmerizing sand dunes, allowing us to truly experience the magic of the desert.
Day 7 : Merzouga - Souk Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades
We start our morning by capturing the stunning beauty of the sunrise with memorable photos. Afterwards, we return to our hotel for a refreshing breakfast and a shower.
Once rejuvenated, we set off on our journey to the enchanting Dades Valley. Our route takes us to Erfoud, famous for its marble fossils, and Jorf, where we witness the area's impressive irrigation practices.
Continuing our adventure, we reach the stunning Todra Gorges, home to one of the most magnificent canyons in the region. The natural grandeur of this place will leave you in awe as we continue our exploration of the Dades Valley.
Day 8 : Dades Ā» Skoura Oasis - Kasbah Taourirt - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
We continue on to Ouarzazate, passing through charming Berber villages characterized by their adobe constructions. Our route then takes us to Skoura, famous for its picturesque palm groves.
Continuing our adventure, we reach Ouarzazate, often referred to as Africa's little Hollywood. Here, we visit the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt, an ancient fortified structure, as well as the Atlas Studio located in the city center.
Next, we embark on a scenic drive to Marrakech, stopping at the famous Ait Ben Haddou. This well-preserved fortified kasbah, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, has served as a backdrop for numerous renowned films and television series such as "Lawrence of Arabia", "Gladiator" and "Game of Thrones".
As we drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, you will enjoy breathtaking views and a memorable drive through the winding cliffs of the Tizi N-Tichka Pass. We will finally arrive in Marrakech and make sure to drop you off at your accommodation, thus concluding our remarkable adventure.
Day 9 : Guided tour of Marrakech
Start time 9:30 am
We will visit the Medina of Marrakech on foot with a local guide. We will begin by admiring the Koutoubia Minaret, the twin of the Giralda in Seville, and continue by visiting the Bahia Palace. We will enter the narrow streets of the Souk, where we will have the opportunity to see different artisans in action; weaving carpets, making slippers... and we will be able to find an endless variety of quality crafts. We will visit a Berber pharmacy where they will show us their ālittle secretsā. We will go out again to the Djemaa el-Fna square, where the atmosphere during the day is totally different from that at night.
Day 10 : Hotel/Riad to the airport
Our tour from Casablanca to Marrakech concludes with a comfortable transfer to the airport. Thank you for joining us on this unforgettable trip through Morocco.
